Description	:	Mrs. Angeline Evans, widow of the late Buel Evans, late of Los Angeles, CA, but formerly residents of Central City, IA died very unexpectedly sometime during the night Thursday, August 11, 1931. Mrs. Evans had been in rather poor health for a couple years, but was apparently in good spirits that Thursday evening. She had been listening to President Hoover's speech over the radio before retiring. Read More	Mrs. Angeline Evans, widow of the late Buel Evans, late of Los Angeles, CA, but formerly residents of Central City, IA died very unexpectedly sometime during the night Thursday, August 11, 1931. Mrs. Evans had been in rather poor health for a couple years, but was apparently in good spirits that Thursday evening. She had been listening to President Hoover's speech over the radio before retiring. Mrs. Evans will be remembered by the older resident of Central City, as her husband conducted a grocery store here during the years 1885 to 1909, and the children were born and went to school here. They moved to Mitchell. S D where Mr. Evans died and Mrs. Evans and one son went to Los Angeles. Later the remaining sons an daughters moved to CA. and all were in the vicinity of Los Angeles. Laurence conducted a grocery store in the home where his mother lived, and other children were residents of Long Beach. They will be remembered as Laurence, Frank, Harry, Linn, Nellie Mae and Ruth Marie. All are married. Mrs. Evans was a most devoted mother and no sacrifice seemed to great for her. Always of a retiring nature, she did not make many acquaintances, but was devoted to those whom she became acquainted. Besides the six children there are seven grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday, Aug.14, at Long Beach and entombment was made in Angeles Abbey mausoleum. (from her obit) Angeline's parents were David O. Gale and Angeline L. Pease.
