Description	:	(obituary from unknown periodical) Mrs. Anna Ostrander was born in Germany January 31, 1839 and died at the home of her son, A. E. Baehrens at Nevis, Minnesota age eighty-five years, six months and seventeen days. She is survived by three children: A. E. Baehrens of Nevis, Minn., Mrs. Mary Baehrens of Springside, Canada and Mrs. Anna Gehlsen of Gross, Nebraska. She married in Germany in 1864 to P. E. Baehrens to which union were born six children, three of whom still survive. She and her husband came to America in 1891 and settled in Pierson, Iowa... Read More	(obituary from unknown periodical) Mrs. Anna Ostrander was born in Germany January 31, 1839 and died at the home of her son, A. E. Baehrens at Nevis, Minnesota age eighty-five years, six months and seventeen days. She is survived by three children: A. E. Baehrens of Nevis, Minn., Mrs. Mary Baehrens of Springside, Canada and Mrs. Anna Gehlsen of Gross, Nebraska. She married in Germany in 1864 to P. E. Baehrens to which union were born six children, three of whom still survive. She and her husband came to America in 1891 and settled in Pierson, Iowa where they made their home until Mr. Baehrens died in 1898. She then married Horace Ostrander who again left her a widow about three years ago. Since that time she has made her home among the children and friends but spent most of her time with her son at Nevis. No cause other than disintegration of old age is held responsible for her death which came quietly and peacefully without lingering illness or suffering. The body was shipped to Pierson last Wednesday. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. M. E. Spahr in the Methodist church and interment was made in the Good Hope Cemetery in a place reserved for her between the graves of her first husband and that of her son Jacob.
