She was born the fifth child of a family of twelve children and was born Sept. 17, 1867, in Jefferson County, where she spent her entire life. She was born the fifth child of a family of twelve children and was born Sept. 17, 1867, in Jefferson County, where she spent her entire life. Ann Eliza was united in marriage to James Simpson, March 12, 1902. He passed away March 12, 1902. He passed away March 6, 1933. Her nephew, Lester Mckee and his wife and son, James moved into the home with her in 1935, and had made their home with her since. Surviving are the following, brother and sisters: John McKee and Rosetta Lawson of Fairfield; Mrs. Nora Kirkhart of Libertyville and Dr. Jennie McKee of Philadelphia, Pa. Also many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her husband, two sisters and five brothers. She was united with the Birmingham Presbyterian Church when she was twenty-two years of age, and always remained faithful to her belief. She attended church as long as she was able. One of the greatest enjoyments in later life was the visits of her brothers and sisters and many other relatives and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Source: Van Buren Co.
