Page 45; Chapter IV Ann Hannah born 26th July 1831 My Parents had four sons in succession. Their ninth (10th) was a daughter. They gave their baby girl a new name in our family, "Ann Hannah". Both Father and Mother had a sister Ann and Father had a cousin in the States whose surname was Hannah. I was in my eighth year and can well remember when the event of her birth took place, on July 26th 1831. (In the back of his book "The Apostles", J.T. says his mother's sister was "Ann or Nancy") She had a quiet disposition, and an even temper, a fair complexion and light brown hair. a little curly. . . . Page 47: In about four years after this settlement (re: her brother Isaac's death in 1865.) Hannah got married to James Fletcher Peterson, a widower, about her own age with one little daughter. Her marriage took place at her old home in Ernestown on Sept. 1, 1869. Her brother James officiated in making them husband and wife. Mr. Peterson seemed a suitable partner, he was a Methodist had a good residence, kept a store in the village of Colborne and well respected. In a few months her health began to fail. She went on a visit to her sister Eliza's and never returned to her home in Colborne. I visited her for a few days in Feb 1870 - she was confined to her bed for several weeks - her disease was "Bright's Disease", kidney trouble. I conversed best I could with her about her future state and found her resigned to God's will to live or die. Page 48: My sister died St. Mary's 24 Mar 1870. March 24, 1911. Mr. Peterson died of consumption in the village of Colborned Sept. 15th 1878, in his 46th year of his age, very happy, and hopeful, leaving a wife and two children to mourn. (He married Ann Jane Greer b 1742 on 14 Nov 1871 and they had a daughter Eliza Evaline Peterson b 30 May 1873. James F. Peterson had another daughter, Ann Maria Peterson b 19 Dec 1864 by his first wife Phoebe Rebecca Jones 27 Jan 1839-8 Jun 1868, whom he married 11 Nov 1862.)
