Description	:	Ann Paisley was born in Lyllstown, Ireland. The town was named after several families of Lylls who clustered together. The Paisley family lived there also. They were a wealthy family. When Ann's sweetheart John Ternahan went to America, she followed later and they were married in 1855. They had 7 children together but she died just before giving birth to her 8th child. Ann had bought an abundance of linen thread from Ireland and spun her bed sheets, night clothes and other garments. She often spread them on the lawn at night for bleaching. She churned butter and with eggs and other produce walked into Fairfield, Iowa and sold them. When John returned with his wages, Ann had made 70 cents more than he.
