In 1879 the Bernt family immigrated from Austria to the United States arriving in New York. They took a train from NY to Columbus, NE where Anna's uncle, Adolph met the train. The family then proceeded on by wagon to Columbus, NE. Anna Bernt wed Charles Joseph Glaser on Feb 16, 1885 in St. Michael's Church in Spalding, Nebraska.
