She enjoyed gardening and crocheting and knitting. She was a 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Star and a member of the United Methodist Church of Oswego, KS. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Zwahlen; sisters, Katy [Katie] Nepote and Jennie Ciardullo; brothers, Pete and Joe (Junior) Timi. She is survived by sons, Dennis Zwahlen of DeSoto, KS, Riley Zwahlen of Troy, MI; grandchildren, Denise Minton, Dennis Zwahlen, Jr., Amy Zwahlen and Mark Zwahlen; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters, Iolanda Blazic, Jessie Ossana and Lucy Collins.
