Anna Uhler was born in Kozlanech, Bohemia, July 26, 1849, and died at her home in Table Rock, November 12, 1918, at the age of 69 years, 3 months and 17 days. She came to this country at the age of sixteen years and made her home in New York, living there two years. She later came to Chicago, and in 1870 was married to Albert O. Kohn, of that city, living there two years. She then moved to Pawnee City, where they lived until a month ago, when they moved to Table Rock, where she passed away following an operation she underwent six months ago in the hope of regaining her health. She was a loving and devoted mother and a faithful wife. Her ambition was to relieve the sorrow and pain of others, but she has been released from pain and is now resting in peace. She is survived by a husband, three sons, two daughters, three sisters and two brothers. The sons and Charlie of Pawnee City. The daughters are Mrs. Joseph Bobek of Caldwell, Kansas and Mrs. Bessie Dort, of Table Rock. Also twelve living grandchildren; two sisters, of Madison, Wisconsin, a brother of Michigan. The C. S. P. S. lodge of Humboldt had charge of the remains, which were laid to rest in the family lot in the Pawnee City cemetery. Gone But Not Forgotten. A precious one from us has gone; A voice we loved is stilled. A place is vacant in our home, Which never can be filled. God in His wisdom has recalled, The boon His love has given; And though the body slumbers here, The soul is safe in heaven.
