Description	:	Mrs. Wallace Sechrist, one of the real pioneers of Ottawa county, died last Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Gladys Reed, near Ada. She was 82 years old and had lived in this county her entire life. Anna Barbara, daughter of William and Emiline Campbell, early day settlers on Salt Creek, near Minneapolis, was born in a dugout on October 8, 1866. Read More	Mrs. Wallace Sechrist, one of the real pioneers of Ottawa county, died last Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Gladys Reed, near Ada. She was 82 years old and had lived in this county her entire life. Anna Barbara, daughter of William and Emiline Campbell, early day settlers on Salt Creek, near Minneapolis, was born in a dugout on October 8, 1866. As a young girl, she with her parents and family faced many hardships during those real pioneer days, when families were scarce and supplies hard to obtain. She herded cattle on the plains and often took a man's place in the field. On December 4, 1884, she was united in marriage to Wallace Sechrist, who with four children, survives her. One daughter, Ida Pearl, died in infancy. The surviving children are Earl Sechrist, of Solomon; Mrs. Gladys Reed and Mrs. Rena Sidener, of Ada; Mrs. Gertie Price of Brookville. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, besides two half brothers, George Bradbury, of Minneapolis, and Albert Bradbury, of Los Angeles, Calif. Mrs. Sechrist was a member of the Free Methodist Class of Ada. She was ever a faithful wife and to her children a real mother and tender grandmother and great-grandmother. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at two o'clock from the Fouts Funeral Home in Minneapolis, with Rev. A, C. Cook of Ada, in charge. Music was by Mr. and Mrs. Keith Bacon, with Mrs. Gilbert Bacon at the piano. Pallbearers were Ray Coatney, Roland Shafer, Rolla Hogarty, Henry Beichley, Charles Sidener and Lee Van Meter.
