T.A. Mason of Garretson officiating. Interment was made in the church Cemetery beside the grave of her grandfather, only Nelson. Special music for the service included the songs, "Resignation" by Loretta and Evelyn Stromme and "Jesus Savior Pilot Me" by Erick Berdahl, Ellsworth and Gerhard Brown. Honorary pallbearers were Leona and Lucille Kummerfeldt, Beatrice and Kila Neshiem, Helen Sande and Carrie Fuglsby. Active pallbearers were Roy Nelson, Everett Larson, Lloyd and Carmen Neshiem, Stanley Nelson and Curtis Sande. Those in attendance from distance included: Mr. and Mrs. Roy Nelson and Mrs. J.M. Hanson all of Windon, Minnesota; Mr. and Mrs. John O. Nelson of Seattle, Washington; Mrs. Sarah Dickinson, Mrs. R.W. Dennis, Mrs. Fred Reed, Mrs. Augusta Nelson and Mrs.J.P. Townsend all of Sioux Falls. Miss Berg was born on the farm home Southeast of Dell Rapids on October 30, 1912. She was baptized by Rev. A.J. Bergsaker and confirmed by Rev. T.A. Mason. After completing her education in the Rural school, she attended the Garretson high school for a year. She became ill early in the spring of 1936, but improved considerably until last spring when her condition became worse. During her extended illness, she was a patient suffer; she slept peacefully away at 2:30 AM on September 21, from a complication of illness at the age of 24 years, 10 months and 21 days.
