Interment was in Riverside cemetery, Anamosa. The Rev. Harvey Gilbertson officiated. Mrs. Wessels died Jan. 18 at St. Luke's hospital, Cedar Rapids, after a brief illness. She was born Nov 24, 1904, at Langworthy, the daughter of Gerd and Sophia Brokens Bodeker. She was married to Reinder J. Wessels May 24, 1922. They farmed in Jones County until moving to Wyoming 17 years ago. Survivors include her husband; four children, Mrs. John (LaDean) Osterkamp of Amber, George of Onslow, William of Mesa, Ariz., and Mrs. Wilfred (Clarice) Norton of Anamosa; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Also, a brother, John Bodeker of Amber; and four sisters, Mrs. Louie Hayen of Anamosa, Mrs. Louie Rickels of Center Jct., Mrs. Clarence Heeren of Amber and Mrs. Margaret Broderson of Wyoming. She was preceded in death by a son, a sister and a brother. Casket bearers were Gary Wessels, Larry Herren, Gary Rickels, Dennis Harms, Gerald Bodeker and Marvin Engelbart.
