She moved to Nebraska in 1865 with her family. Peter H.C. and Dorothea Stutheit Reinke purchased 160 acres of land in S.W. Nemaha county (sic) from H.A. and August Kleghauer on Aug. 31, 1881. The farm was sold to Friedrich H. Stutheit, brother of Mrs. Reinke, in 1890. It was later acquired by their son Siegmund H. Stutheit, later owned by his son, Werner Stutheit. The land item was from the 1981 newspaper of farms in family for over 100 years. Anna and Peter Reinke had 10 children. 1.Emma Karoline, 2.Friederich Heinrich, 3.Anna Sophia, 4.Johann Friederich, 5. Heinrich Christoph (Chris). 6. Johannes Herman (Herman). 7. Carolina Margaretha (Margaretha), 8.Emma Maria, 9.Heinrich Christoph and 10, Ernest August Reinke. ======================= The Deshler Rustler (Deshler, NE), Wednesday, March 31, 1943; pg. 1 OBITUARY Anna Dorothea Reinke, nee Stutheit, was born June 2, 1851, in Garnville (sic), Clayton County, Iowa, where she was also baptized. On April 4, 1864 she was confirmed by Pastor John Beckman in Gutenburg, Iowa. In 1866 she moved with her family to Longbranch, Nemaha County, Nebr., in a covered wagon train. On April 25, 1873, she was united in holy matrimony with P. H, Reinke. To this union were born five sons and four daughters of which two preceded her in death. One daughter died in infancy and on April 16, 1942, her son, Chris. Reinke, who was a prominent rancher and state representative of the state of Idaho, died. In the year 1891, the family moved from Nemaha County to Byron, Nebr., where they engaged in farming until the year 1910, when they retired and moved to Byron. They had a happy and contented life until the year 1931 when her husband died. Since then she made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Emma Tietjen, where she received tender care. In 1940 she went to Idaho to visit her children there. She remained in Idaho until she peacefully passed away on March 14. To the end she was blessed with both physical and mental powers. She reached the age of 91 years, 9 months, and 12 days. She was a faithful Christian and gave much for the support of Christian institutions. She leaves to mourn her departure, four sons, Henry Reinke of Byron, Fred Reinke of Deshler, Herman and Ernest Reinke of Buhl, Idaho; three daughters, Mrs. Emma Tietjen of Byron, Mrs. Carolina Meyer and Mrs. Mary Kniep of Buhl, Idaho: three sons-in-law, five daughters-in-law, sixty-three grandchildren and seventy-five great grandchildren; also two sisters, Mary Beckman and Martha Beckman, of Auburn, Nebr. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, March 19, from the home of her daughter, Emma Tietjen, and in St. Peter's Church at Byron, the pastor, Rev. Mr. Hoefer, officiating. The mortal remains were laid to rest in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Pvt. Herman Reinke, Cpl. Walter Reinke, Pvt. Martin Reinke, Arnold Tietjen, Theodore Tietjen, and Arthur H. Tietjen. Those attending the funeral from a distance were: Herman Reinke, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Reinke, Mrs. John Meyer, Mrs. Henry Kniep, all of Buhl, Idaho; Mrs. H.C. Reinke, of Twin Falls, Idaho; Walter Tietjen, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Beckman and family, of Athol, Kans.; Johanna Reinke, of Beatrice; Pvt. Martin Reinke, of Indiantown Gap, Pa.; Pvt. Herman Reinke, of Camp Hale, Colorado; Cpl. Walter Reinke, of the Army Air Base, Reno, Nevada.
