(Albion Weekly News – Albion, Nebraska – October 24, 1918) Anna E. Bridgewater was born on March 18th, 1848. She was married to William B. Carter February 8, 1866. To this union were born seven children, four of whom are living, with the husband and father survive. They are Mrs. Anderson of Albion, Mrs. Wilson of Oklahoma, Mrs. Philamalee of Atkinson, Kansas, and Mrs. Thompson of Omaha. Mrs. Carter’s death was chronicled in the paper last week, her death being one of the first in this city resulting from the influenza. She was a devoted mother and never wearied in rendering service to those around her, and her passing leaves a break in the family circle that cannot be filled. The sympathy of a host of friends goes out to the family thus bereft of a mother’s love and care. (Albion Weekly News – Albion, Nebraska – October 31, 1918)
