Description	:	Funeral services for W. B. Carter, who passed away at his home in Albion on July 3rd, were held Friday afternoon from the family residence. The services were conducted by Rev. H. O. King of the Baptist church and interment was made in Rose Hill cemetery. William B. Carter was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, March 1st, 1844. He grew to manhood in Illinois where he was married on February 8th, 1866 to Anna E. Bridgewater, who preceded him in death in 1918. To this union were born eight children. Carter, who passed away at his home in Albion on July 3rd, were held Friday afternoon from the family residence. The services were conducted by Rev. H. O. King of the Baptist church and interment was made in Rose Hill cemetery. William B. Carter was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, March 1st, 1844. He grew to manhood in Illinois where he was married on February 8th, 1866 to Anna E. Bridgewater, who preceded him in death in 1918. To this union were born eight children. They moved to Carol, Iowa, where they resided until they came in 1881 to Cuming county, Nebraska. Here he lived for twelve years, coming with his family to Albion in 1893. From that time until his death he made his home in this county. On January 3, 1924, he was married to Mrs. Susie B. Shufelt of Omaha. Besides his widow he leaves four daughters, eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, to mourn his loss. In his last days he freely expressed his faith in God and the Lord Jesus Christ. Mr. Carter was a good citizen, a generous neighbor and a kind husband and father. Those who attended the funeral from away were Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Thompson of Omaha; Mr. and Mrs. G. B. Shufelt of Omaha; Mrs. Harry Goff, of Omaha; Mrs. J. Somburk, of Omaha; Mrs. Kanefes and son of Pawhuska, Oklahoma; Mrs. Mary Corkel and son of Tilden and William and Charles Brogan of Tilden.
