Description	:	Rose Ella Carter was born in Crawford county, Iowa, May 6th, 1878. She moved with her parents to Cuming county, Nebraska in 1881 where she resided until 1893 when they moved to Boone county. She was educated in the Albion schools, graduating in 1896, was a teacher in the Boone county schools for several years. Later she was employed as bookkeeper in Albion, a position she held for about five years. Read More	Rose Ella Carter was born in Crawford county, Iowa, May 6th, 1878. She moved with her parents to Cuming county, Nebraska in 1881 where she resided until 1893 when they moved to Boone county. She was educated in the Albion schools, graduating in 1896, was a teacher in the Boone county schools for several years. Later she was employed as bookkeeper in Albion, a position she held for about five years. About three years ago she accepted a position with the Union Fire Insurance Company, of Lincoln, where she was employed until a year ago when her health failing her, she came home and has since been with her parents until the time of her death, July 5th, at 7:10 a.m. She leaves to mourn her loss, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Carter of this city, and four sisters, Mrs. A K. Anderson, of Petersburg; Mrs. Maggie Wilson, of Oklahoma; Mrs. F. M. Philmalee, of Atchinson, Kansas, and Mrs. M. W. Thompson, of Omaha. Miss Carter was a quiet, unassuming young woman, who made good in whatever position she occupied. She had a great many friends and was highly respected by all who claimed her acquaintance. The entire community unites in extending heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church Friday morning at 10 o’clock, conducted by Rev. Main, and the body laid at rest in Rose Hill cemetery. A large concourse of friends gathered at the church to pay their last respects to the deceased.
