Description	:	Having been in failing health Anna Valentien died at the Lennox Good Samaritan Center on Friday afternoon, Mar. 13, 1998. She attained the age of 87 years, five months and 27 days. Anna Valentien was born on a farm four miles east of Lennox, SD. on Sep. 16, 1910, the daughter of George and Grace (Muller) Kock. She attended Sherman School and grew to womanhood there. On Feb. 25, 1931 she was united in marriage to Aeise Valentien at LaValley Presbyterian Parsonage at rural Lennox. Anna Valentien was born on a farm four miles east of Lennox, SD. on Sep. 16, 1910, the daughter of George and Grace (Muller) Kock. She attended Sherman School and grew to womanhood there. On Feb. 25, 1931 she was united in marriage to Aeise Valentien at LaValley Presbyterian Parsonage at rural Lennox. Following their marriage they established their farm east of Lennox where they continued farming until the 1970's when they retired into Lennox. Anna became a resident of the Lennox Good Samaritan Center on Jan. 9, 1995. Her husband preceded her in death on Jul. 16, 1997, ending a marriage of faithful devotion of over 66 years. Besides her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by her son, Loren, who died at 21 years of age of Oct. 14, 1958; and one sister, Minnie Bunger, on Mar. 5, 1963. She is survived by two brothers; Fred Kock and his wife, Grace, Gerriet Kock and his wife, Lucille, all of Lennox.
