Description	:	Mrs. A. C. Nelson MILLER - Mrs. Anna Catherine Nelson, former resident of Miller, died Monday in a Sioux Falls, hospital at the age of 77. Nelson MILLER - Funeral for Mrs. Anna Kathryn Nelson, 77, who died Monday, will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. James Smucker officiating. Interment will be in GAR Cemetery. Anna Kathryn DeGeest was born Dec. 7, 1899 to Henry and Jane DeGeest at Armour. She attended Miller school and was later graduated from Huron College, Huron. After teaching school for over 30 years, she served as Hand County librarian until 1970, when she moved to Beresford. On June 17, 1930, she married John S. Nelson and he died in 1964. Mrs. Nelson was a member of the United Church of Christ at Beresford. Survivors include two sons, Gene and Jack, both of Beresford; two brothers, Leo DeGeest, Bellingham, Wash, Charles DeGeest, Lynden, WAsh.; two sisters, Mrs. Olive Cox and Mrs. Helen Hofman, Bellinhan; and four grandchildren.
