Mrs Pevestorfs death followed a cerebral hemorrhage which she suffered Thursday night. She had been ill less than 12 hours having been stricken on Thursday evening after dinner. Mrs Pevestorf had been prominent in the West Willow community life for many years, having lived in the home in which she died since 1886. Mrs. Pevestorf, whose maiden name was Anna Gustoff, was born Jan. 16, 1869 in Cook county, Illinois. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church. In 1879 she moved with her parents to Coon Rapids, Iowa, where they settled on a farm northeast of the town. On Nov. 30, 1884, she was married to Henry Pevestorf. Five children were, born to them, all of whom survive their mother. They are William, Henry, Caroline, Elfrieda, and Arnold. Mrs. Pevestorf and her husband were among the first members of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran church in Willow township. For the past several years she had been in ill health. She died at the age of 62 years. She is survived by her husband and children; six grandchildren; two brothers, William and Henry Gustoff; one sister, Mrs. Alvina Baessmann and one half sister, Mrs. Barney Walther. Funeral services were held from the home Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock and at the Trinity Lutheran church at 2:30 with the Rev. W.H. Friedrich in charge. Burial was made in the Willow cemetery.
