Dutcher Dead - Widow of Oscar J. Dutcher Dies at Home of Her Daughter. Mrs. Anna Dutcher, wife of the late Oscar J. Dutcher, died Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Oliver Cox, in Spalding. Her death was attributed to complications of old age. Mrs. Dutcher was 77 years old. [....funeral details..] Mrs. Dutcher, whose maiden name was Anna M. Kubista, was born in Bohemia on May 1, 1867. She came to this country with her parents when she was 14 years old. The family came directly to Nebraska and lived in this state since that time. The deceased was married to Oscar J. Dutcher August 21, 1887 at Pierce, Neb. Thirteen children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Dutcher. Three of the children died in infancy, and a son, Frank, died in the service of his country, during the first World war. The surviving children are Oscar Dutcher of Onalaska, Wash., Rufus Dutcher of Vancouver, Wash., Henry Dutcher of Greeley, Robert Dutcher of Bridgeport, Neb., Mrs. Susan Jones of Dallas, Tex., Mrs. Dan Reed of Greeley, Mrs. Hazel Dodds of Union, Ore., Mrs. Paul Lombard of Greeley and Mrs. Oliver Cox of Spalding. Mrs. Dutcher is also survived by one brother and three sisters. They are John Kubista, Mary Kubista, Mrs. Frank Franks and Mrs. Ed Synovec. The family moved to Greeley nearly 40 years ago. Mrs. Dutcher made her home here until about a year ago, when she went to Spalding to reside with her daughter. Mr. Dutcher died January 22, 1922. Mrs. Dutcher was a member of the Charles R. Martin Martin Legion Post Auxiliary. She was the last Gold Star mother of the local post.
