Mrs. Grossman was 68 years of age and had been ill for several months. Funeral services will be held at St John's Lutheran Church in Atkinson, Friday, burial will be in Phoenix Cemetery beside the body of her husband, who died in 1924. Anna Magelena Bay was born at Holm, province of Holstein, Germany on Dec 3,1868 and died at Phoenix, Nebr., Nov 23,1937, at the age of 68 years 11 months and 20 days. She came to America with her parents and arrived in Holt Co on July 16,1884, the family settling on a homestead near the Niobrara River about 7 miles east of Phoenix. She was united in marriage to Charles F Grossman on March 27,1885 and together they lived on a homestead near Phoenix until the death of Mr. Grossman on July 27,1924. Since that time Mrs. Grossman made her home with their only daughter, Mrs. John Damero of Phoenix. She leaves to mourn her death, her daughter, Louise, Mrs. John Damero; 3 grandchildren, Virginia, Carl and Lyle; two brothers Henry of Elkhorn, Nebr. and George of O'Neill.
