ANNA MORHMANN Anna Maria Mohrmann, daughter of John Kruse and Vulka nee Minits Kruse, was born Mar. 23, 1877 at Schnappe, Ostfrielance, Germany. In 1885 she came to America with her family and settled in Nebraska City. They moved to Albert, Kansas in 1887 and in 1891 to Franklin County, Nebr., where they settled near Macon. She was united in marriage with Henry C. Mohrmann April 26, 1895. The union lasted nearly 60 years, and there were 11 children. ... ANNA MORHMANN Anna Maria Mohrmann, daughter of John Kruse and Vulka nee Minits Kruse, was born Mar. 23, 1877 at Schnappe, Ostfrielance, Germany. In 1885 she came to America with her family and settled in Nebraska City. They moved to Albert, Kansas in 1887 and in 1891 to Franklin County, Nebr., where they settled near Macon. She was united in marriage with Henry C. Mohrmann April 26, 1895. The union lasted nearly 60 years, and there were 11 children. The family moved to Byron community in 1909. She had been in failing health for several months and had been hospitalized in Deshler nearly a week when, on June 11, 1964, she passed away at the age of 87 years, two months and 18 days. She was preceded in death by her youngest daughter, Edna, who died in infancy; and her oldest daughter, Marie (Mrs. Ray Dankenbring). She is survived by her children: Fred, Meta (Mrs. Alvin Grueber), Anna (Mrs. Walter Grueber), Martha (Mrs. Louis Fangmeyer), Carl, Herman, Louise (Mrs. Edwin Dittmer), Elsie (Mrs. Otto Paul), all of Byron; John of Deshler; 19 grandchildren, and other relatives. Funeral services were conducted June 15 at 2 p.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Byron, with Rev. John E. Sitler officiating. The grandsons, Vernon Dankenbring, Richard Mohrmann, Rolland Grueber, Kermit Paul, Frederick Grueber, Harold Dittmer, Eugene Grueber, David Paul, Donald Mohrmann and Bruce Paul served as pallbearers. Interment was in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Byron.
