Description	:	Widow of David, killed by Henry Swearingen, her daughter Eleanora Boucher, was also killed by her husband Henry Swearingen. - Contributed by Betty Boucher Miller. ~~~ "Double Murder and Suicide at Dayton. In April 1881 one of the most dastardly murders in the history of Butte County was committed near Dayton. Harry Swearingen killed his wife, Mrs. Ella Swearingen, and his mother-in-law, Mrs. A.M. Boucher, upon Mrs. Boucher's ranch. Mrs. Swearingen was but seventeen years old, and had separated from her husband. He was attempting to induce her to return to him; and when she refused, he shot and killed...
