Description	:	Mrs. Anna Hix, 85, died at the Senior Citizens Home in Tekamah, Neb. Saturday, Oct. 9. Funeral services were held at the United Methodist church in Odebolt at 10:30 Tuesday morning, October 12, 1971. The Rev. Anthony Blankers officiated. Mrs. Corrine Down was organist and the flowers were arranged by Mrs. Verne Paul and Mrs. Alvin Krusenstjerna. Burial was in the Odebolt cemetery with Robert Buehler, John Buehler, Paul Fox, Warren Hanson, William Frey and Howard Mandernach the attendants. Anna Marie Hix, daughter of Sebastian and Mary Buehler, was born in Odebolt, Iowa, November 28, 1885. She was united in marriage to Henry Hix at Odebolt January 6, 1909. They had two children, Marion and Louise. The family lived on the farm for a number of years. In 1935 they moved to Odebolt. her husband died in 1953. In 1965 Mrs. Hix became a resident of Colonial Manors in Odebolt. A few years later she moved to Senior Citizens home in Tekamah, Neb. to be nearer her daughter. In her youth, Mrs. Hix was a member of the rural Richland Methodist Church and later transferred her membership to the Methodist Church in Odebolt. Survivors are her son and daughter-in-law, Marion and Maxine of Odebolt; and her daughter, Dr. and Mrs. A.J. Mullman of Oakland, Nebr. Taken from The Odebolt Chronicle 14 Oct 1971.
