Description	:	Anna Marie Holfichter was born in Iroquis County, Illinois, April 11, 1874. After an illness lasting six days, she went to be with her Maker, March 14, 1938. She came to Butler County, Nebraska, with her parents in 1884. After the death of her parents, she made her home with her sister, Mrs. Charles Watson of Fairmont, Neb., for several years. Her passing... Read More	Anna Marie Holfichter was born in Iroquis County, Illinois, April 11, 1874. After an illness lasting six days, she went to be with her Maker, March 14, 1938. She came to Butler County, Nebraska, with her parents in 1884. After the death of her parents, she made her home with her sister, Mrs. Charles Watson of Fairmont, Neb., for several years. Here she met and married Harry Bergstrand, September 8, 1909. Two children were born to this union, one dying in infancy. Mr. and Mrs. Bergstrand resided near Fairmont twenty-nine years. Her passing will be keenly felt by her many friends and by her devoted and loving husbnad and daughter, Florence. She was always exceptionally fond of children. She was a favorite aunt of the twenty-seven nephews and nieces. They always went to Aunt Anna with their joys and with their sorrows and she shared them equally with them. She gave her heart to God when a small girl and remained a faithful and devout Christian. Her interest in other people and her concern for community welfare was evidenced by her membership in the church, ladies' aid society and Order of the Eastern Star. Those left to mourn her passing are her devoted husband, Harry Bergstrand, and daughter Florence; three sisters and one brother, Mrs. John Suddarth of Rising City, Mrs. Charles Watson of Fairmont, Mrs. Carrie Law of Sedwick, Col., and Ed Hofrichter of Wood River, Neb. There are also twenty-seven nephews and nieces and a host of other relatives and friends. Three brothers and one sister preceded her in death. Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church of Fairmont Thursday, March 17, at 2:30 p.m. The pastor, Rev. Robert L. Embree, was in charge with former pastors, Rev. V.C. Wright of Ashland and Rev. J.Henry Stitt of Central City, assisting. Music was furnished by a mixed quartet consisting of Oliver Moul, Mrs. Charles McFadden, Mrs. Mable Quinlan and W.E. Black, with Mrs. A.A. Ashby at the piano. Miss Phyllis Williams of Exeter sang a solo with Mrs. E. Williams of Exeter accompanying. Pallbearers were Lyle Cumberland of Geneva, Harry Smith, A.P. Stewart, Ross Dorrance, Lou Real and William Nedrow of Fairmont. Interment was in the Fairmont cemetery.
