Mrs. Muegge was taken ill last March 25th and was cared for at her home south of Creighton until July 12, when she was taken to the Norfolk hospital for treatment. Read More	Mrs. Anna Muegge Dies Friday at Norfolk Hospital The family of Mrs. Anna Muegge was saddened on last Friday when word came that she had passed away at the Lady of Lourdes hospital in Norfolk. Mrs. Muegge was taken ill last March 25th and was cared for at her home south of Creighton until July 12, when she was taken to the Norfolk hospital for treatment. Although everything possible in medical science was done to relieve her condition it proved to be of no avail. Death was attributed to creeping paralysis. Anna Mary Dartmann was born March 4, 1889 at Maria Zell, S.D. and died at Norfolk on August 1, 1941 at the age of 52 years, four months and 27 days. In a later year, she came with her parents to West Point, Nebr. and lived there until 1910. From that city they moved to Creighton and the deceased has continuously resided here until here death. On May 28, 1913 her marriage to John Muegge occurred. To this union six children were born, one son dying in infancy. Those who mourn her departure from this world are three daughters, Marie and Florence at home, Eleanor of Neligh and two sons, Paul and Robert, also at home. Other relatives include three sisters, Mrs. Roy Ward and Mrs. John Vogt of Creighton and Mrs. Herbert Schula of Wisner and four brothers, Ben, Tony and Joe Dartmann of Creighton and Henry Dartmann of Neligh. Funeral rites were held on Monday morning at St. Ludger Catholic church at nine o'clock. Rev. Father Windolph officiated at requiem high mass and preached the sermon. Numerous friends assembled to pay a fitting tribute to the deceased. Interment was made in the St. Ludger cemetery beside her husband, who preceded her in death in 1938. Mrs. Muegge, during her years of residence in this community, earned the respect and admiration of all whom she came in contact with. She was a Christian woman and a true example of integrity and righteous character. Her place in the family home can never be filled. Pallbearers were Ernest Tharnish, Andrew Breckner, Leo Wanger, Casper Buerman, Leo Frisch and Joe Fuchtmann. ...The Creighton News 7 Aug 1941
