Description	:	Sadness prevailed in this community on Sunday, when word was given out that Mrs. Anton Dartmann had died at her home northeast of Creighton. The end came at 12:45 p.m., a short time after suffering from a severe hemorrhage. She had been ill a year to the day with heart affliction. The end came at 12:45 p.m., a short time after suffering from a severe hemorrhage. She had been ill a year to the day with heart affliction. Her husband had preceded her to the other world on December 10, 1933. Elizabeth Hartman was born January 10, 1853 at Neuenkirchen, Kr. Wiedenbruck and was 81 years, one month and eight days of age at death. At the age of 23 years, she came to the United States and located at Hand, S.D. It was there that she met her husband, Anton Dartman. They were united in wedlock on April 10, 1888 at Maria Zell, S.D. To them were born four boys and five girls, one dying in infancy. The surviving relatives are: four daughters, Mrs. John Muegge, Mrs. Roy Ward and Mrs. John Vogt of this city and Mrs. Herbert Schula of Wisner and four sons, Ben, Henry, Tony and Joe, all of Creighton. Mrs. Dartman was a devoted mother and passed through many hard struggles of the early pioneer days. She was a true Christian and lived the faith to the end. She was well liked in the community and her friendship endured with all. Funeral services were held on Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock from St. Ludger Catholic Church. Requiem high mass was celebrated by Father Windolph and a glowing tribute was paid by the pastor to the memory of the deceased. A nice company of friends and the immediate relatives in attendance gave eloquent thought to the high esteem she was held in this community. The remains were laid to rest beside that of her husband in the Catholic Cemetery.
