Read More	HRUBESKY, ANNA—Anna Rohann was born in Austria, June 3, 1851. She died at her home in Geneva, Neb., June 26, 1931, aged 80 years and 23 days, the last surviving member of her own family. Only a very brief part of her life was spent in Austria, for at the age of three she came to America with her parents, who settled in Wisconsin. It was in Racine, Wis.; she met and married Chauncey W. Hrubesky, February 26, 1878. The couple very shortly moved from Wisconsin to make their home in Schuyler, Neb., where her five children, all of whom survive her, were born. Her passing marks the first break in this family circle. On June 21, 1898, thus thirty-three years ago, the family came to live in Geneva. Mrs. Hrubesky has been a member of the congregational church since her residence here. She has also been a member of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Hrubesky is survived by her husband, three daughters, Misses Lucile and Lilian, and Mrs. W. E. Pemberton, and two sons, Chauncey and Frank. All were present at the funeral. She is also survived by an infant grandson, William John Pemberton. While Mrs. Hrubesky had her chief interest in her home duties and family, she had made many friends and her influence extended over a wide area. The Hrubesky home is known for its hospitality and Mrs. Hrubesky welcomed every guest and there was no more gracious hostess or none could dispense more genuine cheer in a group gathered there. Mrs. Hrubesky had an artist's love of the beautiful and her success with flowers and delight in them is well known. In caring for her garden as well as in everything she did there was evidence of the joy she had in her work. This extended to her household duties, especially the culinary art. She was a famous cook. Seldom are more flowers seen at a funeral service than were sent by friends for the service for Mrs. Hrubesky. During her illness her room was never without an abundance of flowers and her delight in them was evident until the end. The funeral service was held at the family residence Monday at 10 a. m. and was conducted by Rev. David Tudor of the Congregational church. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery. Besides friends in Geneva attending the funeral, there were present: Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hrubesky of Schuyler, nephew and niece of Mr. Hrubesky; and Mrs. John Prokes and Mrs. Agnes Falty, also of Schuyler; Mr. and Mrs. George Vlasnik, son George Jr. and daughter Betty of Lincoln; Dr. Loetta Bowies and son Arthur of Omaha; Mrs. Richard Dill of Alexandria; Mr. and Mrs. Alva Brown of Fairmont, and Creston Swails of Clay Center.
