Anna (Walter) Klosner was born in Winderberg, Westfahlen, Germany November 9, 1845. She died at the age of 89 years and five months. She came to the United State in 1869. A year later she was united in marriage to Henry Klosner June 9, 1870 at Quincy, Ill. This union was blessed with twelve children, nine of whom preceded her to the other world. Three sons and an adopted daughter survive. They are Mrs. Emil Grosse of Beemer, Henry Klosner Jr. of Creighton; Ben Klosner of Bloomfield and Walter Klosner of Freeport, Minnesota. Others left to mourn are 35 grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren. Mrs. Klosner, with her husband, came to Nebraska in 1869 and located at West Point. In 1883 they moved to the state of Oregon, living at both Salem and Portland for a number of years. They returned to Nebraska and took up their residence at Alloys, an inland town near West Point, where they operated a store and Mr. Klosner was postmaster. After disposing of their business, they came to Knox county, first living on a farm near Bloomfield and then near Creighton. About fifteen years ago, they moved to town and this has been the home of Mrs. Klosner up to the time of her demise. Mrs. Klosner's friends were numbered by her acquaintances, for her cheerful disposition made all who knew her, love her. She was always thoughtful of those about her and ever ready to sacrifice herself to alleviate the sufferings of others. Even during her long incapacitation, she seldom complained and when her suffering was most intense, she bore it patiently, until the Heavenly Father called her to that home of peace and rest, where she will know no pain or suffering. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 9:30 from St. Ludger Catholic church and final rites will be conducted by Father Windolph.
