Description	:	Funeral services for Henry Klosner Sr. were held Friday morning at 9 o'clock from St. Ludger Catholic Church. The last rites were conducted by Father Windolph in the presence of a large gathering of relatives and friends. Interment was made in St. Ludger Cemetery beside his wife, who preceded him in death, April 8, 1935. Mr. Klosner died, Wednesday morning, Jan. 11, 1939 at the Old Folks' Home in West Point, following a paralytic stoke, suffered a week before. Mr. Klosner died, Wednesday morning, Jan. 11, 1939 at the Old Folks' Home in West Point, following a paralytic stoke, suffered a week before. Born in Westphalia, Germany, March 16, 1846, his age at death was 92 years, nine months and 25 days. In 1865, at the age of 19, he left Germany for America. January 13, 1866, he landed in New York. He went to Alabama in 1867, back to New York in 1872, to St. Louis, Mo and Quincy, Ill., in 1873 to Nebraska, to the Black Hills in 1877, to Oregon in 1883, then, returned to Nebraska in 1891. He lived in Creighton since 1908. He was a carpenter by trade. He built the village of Aloys, 10 miles west of West Point in 1894, in which he operated a store and post office. From there he came to Know county. He lived in Bloomfield before coming to Creighton. this was his home until two months ago, when he went to West Point. He was united in marriage to Anna Walter in Quincy, Ill. in 1873. To this union were born twelve children, nine of whom preceded him in death. His living children are three sons, Henry Jr. of Creighton, Ben of Bloomfield and Walter of Melrose, Minn. and one adopted daughter, Mrs. Emil Grosse of Beemer, Neb. ...The Creighton News 19 Jan 1939
