Description	:	Another pioneer Odebolt resident was taken from our midst with the death of Mrs. Anna Hausmann, which occured at 8 o'clock Tuesday morning, March 27, at the Ida Grove hospital. The week before on March 20, Mrs. Hausmann suffered a stroke, from which she never fully recovered. She was 79 years, two months and 18 days of age at the time of her death. The week before on March 20, Mrs. Hausmann suffered a stroke, from which she never fully recovered. She was 79 years, two months and 18 days of age at the time of her death. Anna Wolff was born in Mechklenburg, Schwerin, Germany, Jan 19, 1866. She came from her home in Germany directly to her brother's home in Odebolt, arriving in this country Dec. 31, 1888. On March 11, 1890, she was married to Henry Hausmann of this vicinity. They began housekeeping on the farm, where they resided until Mrs. Hausmann moved to town in the spring of 1926. Mr. Hausmann passed away June 13, 1925. The deceased was confirmed in the Lutheran church in her native land. Since 1918 she regularly attended the First Presbyterian church in Odebolt, until her health no longer permitted her to do so. She served as chaplain of the American Legion Auxiliary for several years, and was also a member of a local group of town and farm women, known as the M.A. Club. Funeral services are being held this afternoon at 1:45 at the home and 2 o'clock at the Presbyterian church, with the Rev. Martin L. Tonner officiating. Mrs. Robert Mason will sing, with Dorothy Kistler as the organ accompanist. Members of the Legion Auxiliary will attend the services in a body. Pallbearers are R.H. Griffin, L.H. Watts, Walter Duffy, Fred E. Einspahr, Earle F. Rex and Dr. P.E. Treman. Interment will be made in the Odebolt cemetery. Taken from The Odebolt Chronicle Page 1 Thursday, March 29th, 1945.
