She was one of two children in the family. Anna finished school in Fort Morgan, Co. Her father was employed as a superintendent of the Union Pacific Railroad and Anna spent her early years living in Cheyenne, Wy., and Fort Morgan, Col. She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and Altar Society. She was a member of the VFW and American Legion Auxiliary. T.K.A. Kensington and Mother’s Club. She was a very artistic person who specialized in oil paintings, crafts and photography. She was married to Oral E. McDonald of Geneva, on June 29, 1919, and to them four children were born. Anna and Orval were privileged to live a long married life together. They loved to travel. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, whose love and concern was for all members of her family and friends. Anna was preceded in death by her parents, George and Catherine Wright; sister, Emile May; sons, Jerald Dean McDonald and William E. McDonald; husband, Orval E. McDonald; and daughter, Audrey May. She is survived by her daughter, Colleen C. Brown and husband, Wallace L. Brown of Lincoln ; grandchildren, Cathy Nichols and husband Jim of Lincoln, Tommy Brown and wife Laurie, of Lincoln, Susan Jones of Falls City, Janet Wieser and husband Pat, of Columbus, Sandy Robak and husband, Frank of Columbus, Jerry McDonald and wife, Kris, of Lincoln, David McDonald and wife, Karen of Attica, Ind., Mike Wilson of Rawson, Ohio; daughters-in-law Ann McDonald of Geneva and Madeline Wilson of Rawson, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Jeff, Angie and Chris Nichols of Lincoln; Andy and Matt Brown of Lincoln; Jared Jones of Falls City, Jasen and Alyson Robak of Columbus; nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted from St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Geneva on Saturday, December 24, with Father Banach officiating. Mary Ann Najmon accompanied Curt Prater, who sang “How Great Thou Art” and “In the Garden.” Grandsons acting as pallbearers were Jerry McDonald, Tommy Brown, Jim Nichols, Pat Wieser, Frank Robak, Mike Wilson, Michael Whelan and David McDonald.
