| Description | : | Anne Robson was known as Annie all her life. Born in Aspatria, Cumberland, England, she was the olest child of Andrew and Margaret Robson. She worked as a dressmaker when she was 17 and three years later in 1884 married Isaac Davidson, a young coal miner who lived in a near-by village. They probably met through her father who was a coal miner for a good part of his life in England, although he also farmed in the Aspatria area.
