He was baptized at Trinity Lutheran church on March 12, 1902, and confirmed in the Lutheran faith in the same church on June 2, 1918. WILLER Edward Nikolaus Julius Willer, son of Carl (Charles) and Gertrude Mangelson Willer, was born December 28, 1896, near Akron, Iowa. He was baptized at Trinity Lutheran church on March 12, 1902, and confirmed in the Lutheran faith in the same church on June 2, 1918. He was united in holy wedlock with Anne Eilers, of Canby, Minnesota, on June 2, 1919. Their union was blessed with two sons and four daughters. Anne Siebens Eilers, daughter of John and Rena Siebens Willer (NOTE: Maybe a typo in paper), was born on October 12, 1900, near Akron, Iowa. She was baptized at St. John's Lutheran church, Preston Township, on November 11, 1900. The Eilers family moved to Canby, Minnesota, and it was in the Lutheran church at Canby that Mrs. Willer was confirmed on March 24, 1918. She was married to Edward N.J. Willer at Canby, Minnesota, on June 2, 1919. The Willer family resided on a farm east of Akron until 1946, when they moved to a farm in Union County, S.D. Mr. and Mrs. Willer were industrious farmers and made a success of their chosen calling. They were members of Trinity Lutheran church, of Akron. Mrs. Willer was a member of the Trinity Ladies Aid for many years. Mrs. Willer's health had been failing for some time and she was under a doctor's care until the time of her death on Saturday morning, August 16, 1952. She reached the age of 51 years, 9 months and 37 days. Mr. Willer died Saturday morning, August 16, 1952, at the age of 55 years, 7 months and 21 days. Left to mourn are the following: The aged father, Charles Willer, of Akron; two sons, Emil and Donald, of Akron; two daughters, Frances (Mrs. Raymond Barinsky), of LeMars, and Betty (Mrs. Albert Beeck), of Akron, and 6 grandchildren. Two daughters preceded the parents in death. Also left to mourn are Mrs. Willer's six brothers, Sieben and Ace Eilers, of Marietta, Minn., Richard and George, of Canby, Minn.; Henry, of Revillo, S.D., John, of Altamont, S.D., and three sisters, Mrs. Charles Clapp, of Canby, Minn., Mrs. Robert Lee, of Moalla, Oregon, and Irene, of Minneapolis. Many memorials have been presented to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Willer. Double funeral services were held Tuesday at the Willer home at 1:00 p.m. and at Trinity Lutheran church at 2:00 p.m., Rev. J.A. Pannkuk officiating. A trio, Gary, Ray and Carl Hartmann, sang "Abide With Me," and a solo, "Lass Mich Gehen," by John Hillrichs. Mrs. Anna Long was organist. Interment was in Riverside cemetery. Pallbearers for Mr. Willer were his nephews: Julius Willer, Theodore Willer, Henry Willer, Ed. H. Willer, George Willer and John Willer; and for Mrs. Willer her six brothers: George Eilers, Richard Eilers, Henry Eilers, John Eilers, Sieben Eilers and Ace Eilers. Attendance at the funeral services was among the largest of any ever held here, and many relatives and friends wore present from a distance.
