She was united in marriage Jan. 9, 1879 to Caleb James Joyce at Ravensden, England. To this union five children were born, three sons and two daughters, all of whom survive except, Helen Maud, who preceded her in death April 12, 1926. Joyce Answers Final Summons Annie Elizabeth Peacock was born April 12, 1856 at Revensden, Bedfordshire, England, passed to her eternal rest Dec. 3, 1926 at her home north of Winnetoon, aged 76 years, 7 months and 21 days. She was united in marriage Jan. 9, 1879 to Caleb James Joyce at Ravensden, England. To this union five children were born, three sons and two daughters, all of whom survive except, Helen Maud, who preceded her in death April 12, 1926. She came to the United States with her husband and children in 1890. They lived for two years at Atlantic, coming then to Knox county, locating 4 and one half miles northeast of Winnetoon, where they have since resided. Mrs. Joyce was one of God's splendid noblewomen, devoted to family and home. She was an ideal mother and with noble purpose, she taught them virtues of truth and righteousness. She was ill for two years, yet, through it all, was patient, always thinking of others first. While in England she united with the Episcopal church. On coming to Nebraska she with her husband, united with the Methodist church. She always enjoyed the services of the church, when her health permitted. Later, when confined to her home, the radio services were a great comfort to her. She is survived by her husband, three sons, Cecil George, Joseph Sidney and Thomas Alvin and one daughter, Ethel Elizabeth, also a sister, Mrs. Mead of Rravensden, England. As was her usual custom to come to the door to greet the members of the family as they came home, so now, she is waiting at the heavenly portal to greet them and welcome them to that eternal home. Funeral services were held in the M.E. Church in Creighton, Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Littrell, Pastor and interment made in the Creighton cemetery. The pallbearers were Seth Jones, Ernest Klopfer, P.P.Glimsdal, Mads A. Jensen, Jas. C. Jensen, A.C. Nelson.
