Services were conducted by Rev. John Beebout. Music was furnished for the service by Frederick Larson, accompanied by Mrs. Horace Greenwood of Emerson. Mrs. Joe Reddout, Mrs. Aden Ireland and Mrs. J. The following life sketch was read: Anna Margaret (Maggie) White, the only daughter of Frederick and Martha Watts White, was born June 19, 1S72 on the farm southwest of Emerson and departed this life at her home in Malvern, Aug. 12, 1952, after a lingering illness of cancer through which she remained very cheerful. On Dec. 23, 1891 she was united in marriage to Walter Albert Lang at the home of her parents. To this union seven children were born. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Gladys E. Evans of Malvern, Elsie R. Archer of Logan; three sons, Worley G. and Roy F. of Council Bluffs, and Everett W. of Sioux City; 27 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and only brother, the late George H. White of Malvern, and Orville who died in infancy. In her youth she joined the United Brethren Church and later transferred to Champion Hill. A few years ago she joined the Royal Neighbors of America and greatly enjoyed the fellowship of other members. Although not a member of the Legion Auxiliary, she loved their work and contributed many quilts and rugs for Veterans hospitals. All her life was spent in Mills County except for two years in Gage, Oklahoma, a little over a year in Wiggins, Michigan, and a year near Sidney, Iowa.
