ANTIONETTE BEASLEY DEAD Monroe, Nov. 21.--Mrs. Antionette Beasley, mother of Commissioner of Public Welfare Beasley, died here yesterday evening at 3 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. D. B. Snyder. Mrs. Beasley had been in feeble health for some time but her death was unexpected. The deceased was born in Hertford county July 21, 1845 and was therefore 72 years old. Married to the late Rev. J. J. Beasley in 1865 the family moved to Monroe several years later and rev. Mr. Beasley filled the pastorate of several of the Union county Baptist churches. Snyder. Mrs. Beasley had been in feeble health for some time but her death was unexpected. The deceased was born in Hertford county July 21, 1845 and was therefore 72 years old. Married to the late Rev. J. J. Beasley in 1865 the family moved to Monroe several years later and rev. Mr. Beasley filled the pastorate of several of the Union county Baptist churches. Five children were born to this union, four of whom survive. They are: Mrs. D. B. Snyder, Mrs. Brooks Myers, and Messrs. R. F. and G. M. Beasley. Mrs. Beasley was a woman of strong Christian character and a member of the Baptist church since girlhood. She was a devoted mother and friend and many will find a gap in their lives since this good woman has been taken away. The funeral probably will not be held till Thursday as Mr. G. M. Beasley is on a hunting trip in South Carolina, and Mr. R. F. Beasley is attending a convention in New Orleans.
