Bobinet, well known Salt Creek Township farmer, passed away early Tuesday morning, February 10, at the Hines Convalescent home in Tama. Until about ten days ago Mr. Bobinet had been living in his home in Belle Plaine. When his condition became worse, he was taken to the home In Tama. Mr. Bobinet was one of the pioneer Bohemian farmers of this community and for over 50 years farmed on the Bobinet home place about three and one-half miles northwest of Belle Plaine in Salt Creek township. He was born in Bohemia on January 15, 1862, and when a boy of 11, came to the United States with his parents and settled in Tama county in 1875. He was married to Miss Josephine Walrob in Linn county and after their marriage they farmed on the place which had been purchased by his father when he came to this country. Mrs. Bobinet passed away about 17 years ago and following her death he moved to Belle Plaine where he lived alone. Mr. and Mrs. Bobinet were the parents of eight children, all of whom survive their parents. They are: Mrs. Joe Bartachek of Belle Plaine; Mrs. Roy Bellharz of Cedar Rapids; Mrs. James Dolash of Belle Plaine; Mrs. Lou Dvorak of Chelsea; Mrs. Ray Zeller of Tama; Mrs. Ed Bartachek of Belle Plaine; Mrs. Charles Sikir of Elberon and William Bobinet, of Chelsea. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p in Thursday, February 12 from the Hrabak Funeral Home in this city with the Rev. J. W. Kasa of Chelsea in charge. Burial will be In the National cemetery south of Vining. Pall bearers will be the following grandsons: Louis Bartachek, Vernon Dolash, Melvin Bartachek, Vernon Sikir, Henry Dvorak and, and Max Zeller. Contributor: George (48419540) • [email protected]
