Description	:	Rites Monday for Anton L. Strande Funeral services were held Monday morning for Anton L. Strande, 83, who died last Thursday at the Lake Preston hospital. Services were conducted at North Preston Lutheran church, the Rev. Gene Eidness officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Anton L. Strande was born October 17, 1890, to Lars and Emma Strande, at their home north of Lake Preston. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Gene Eidness officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Anton L. Strande was born October 17, 1890, to Lars and Emma Strande, at their home north of Lake Preston. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. From 1913 to 1915 he owned and operated a café in Lake Preston, then went into farming which he continued until his retirement in 1963. On April 17, 1914, he was married to Hilda Louise Olson at De Smet, and to them eight children were born. He is survived by his widow; four sons, Aubrey of Lake Preston, Milton of Medford, Oregon, Lonny of Lake Norden, and Gaelen of Lake Preston; two daughters, Mrs. Milton (Caryl) Gulbranson of Seattle, Wash., and Mrs. Kenneth (Gaye) Dykstra of Everett, Wash.; 20 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two daughters, his parents, one brother and three sisters. Special music at services Monday was provided by Mrs. Keith Goodhope, Alex and Leslie Danielson, vocalists; and Mrs. Curtis Paterson, organist.
