Description	:	He was born in Neuwallisdorf, Bohmen, Bohemia which is now called New Wallisdorf in the Czech Republic situated about 35 to 40 miles west and a little south of the Czech capital of Prauge (Praha) as it is spelled on a modern day map. He was the son of Franz "Frank" Wenzl and his wife Josephina Belcha. He married Anna Kohn in Neuwallisdorf June 7, 1865. He was the son of Franz "Frank" Wenzl and his wife Josephina Belcha. He married Anna Kohn in Neuwallisdorf June 7, 1865. He and his wife and baby son Ambrose Frank Wenzl and his parents and several other family members departed from the port of Bremen, Germany aboard the ship "Johanne Wilhelmine" on April 18, 1867. They arrived in Baltimore, Maryland May 27, 1867. After they arrived, they traveled to Chicago and found work for the rest of 1867 and through the following winter. Early in 1868 the men traveled to Pawnee County, Nebraska to file homesteads, while the women and children stayed in Chicago. Anton built a sod house for his family first, and later built a log cabin in which they lived until the spring of 1879. Four children; Joseph; Mary; Fredrick; and John were born in this cabin. Descendants heard stories of waking in the morning with snow covered blankets because the door was on the north side of the log house and did not fit well. Court records show Anton received his homestead land and owned it outright on May 10, 1873, he would have claimed the land five years prior (1868). He his father, his brothers Charles and Herman now owned the entire section number 7 in Pawnee county, or one square mile of land. Anton farmed and bought and sold hundreds of acres of land through out his life in Pawnee county and Steinauer Township.
