(Transcription of clipping at right) Byer—Archie Byer died Saturday night at a sanitarium at LaJunta, Colo., where he had gone several months ago in the interest of his health. He was in his 28th year. Mr. Byer was born at the family home northeast of Morrill. He was of a robust build and until about a year ago was the picture of health. Early in the spring of 1915 he was taken ill and his ailment was diagnosed as typhoid fever. Later it developed that he was in reality afflicted with tuberculosis of the lungs. After his removal to Colorado he appeared for a time to gain rapidly and it was confidently believed that a complete recovery would ultimately be effected. However, along about the holidays he suffered an attack of the grip and the original malady appeared to get a new hold. Several members of the family were with him when the end came. Three brothers and three sisters survive, namely: Levi, Milton and Clarence, and Misses Lydia, Mary and Leah. This is the third death within two years in the Byer household. The father was the first to go, being followed in a few months by the mother. Archie was the next to the oldest of their descen-dants. His body was brought home for burial and funeral services were conducted Wednes-day forenoon at the Brethren in Christ church northeast of town.
