His siblings were: Delila Sarah "Lila" Maxson McCann (1862-1955), Abbie Louisa "Lou" Maxson (1864-1928), Naomi Maxson (born ca 1867 and died Jul 1879 age 12), and Jesse Holmes Maxson (1871-1944). He married Berle Dean Bashor Bickford on October 21, 1910 in Buchanan County, Missouri.
