In 1953, she moved to Omaha and worked for the FBI as a secretary for eight years. She returned to Niobrara in 1962 and worked as a bank teller for 30 years. She was a member of Niobrara Lutheran Church, serving as Financial Secretary for many years. She was also a member of the WFLA, Niobrara Historical Society, Eastern Star, Niobrara Alumni Association, Senior Citizens Club, and the Election Board. She also did books for several businesses around Niobrara. Visitation for Arlene was held on Thursday, March 3, 2011 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brockhaus Funeral Home in Niobrara. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, at the WFLA Hall in Niobrara. Rev. Kelley Pedersen officiated. Arlene was buried with her husband Tom and their infant son Wencel Edward Corporan at L'Eau Qui Court Cemetery in Niobrara, NE. Her Parents and both sets of her Grandparents are also buried there.
