PARENTS: Vaclav Suchy (1866 - 1935) Anna Slechta (1884 - 1959) SPOUSE: On December 15, 1930, she was united in marriage to Wencel Forejt at Yankton, SD. Wencel was the son of Joseph Forejt (1867-1938) and Anna Kudelka Forejt (1869-1953). Lydia and Wencel had one daughter Arlene. Lydia attended Niobrara Public School. She and Wencel lived and farmed southeast of Niobrara all their wedded lives and celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary in December 1980. She was a member of the Z.C.B.J. Lodge and the Stitch and Study Club, both of Niobrara. Survivors include her husband Wencel, daughter Arlene, son-in-law Tom Corporan, granddaughters Ann, Catherine and Becky, and brothers Edward and Wencel Suchy of Omaha. She was preceded in death by her parents Vac and Anna Suchy, brothers Louis and Emil Suchy, an infant brother and one sister Amelia Podliska. Lydia died at the Lundberg Memorial Hospital in Creighton. Funeral services were on Friday, January 29 at 1:30 p.m. at the Z.C.B.J. Hall in Niobrara with Rev. Lloyd W. Anderson officiating. Pallbearers were Louis Skokan, Lester Fitch, Robert Olson, Theodore Branstiter, Richard Barta and Willard Tichy. Lydia's husband Wencel died seven years later. They are both buried at L'Eau Qui Court Cemetery in Niobrara, NE along with both their parents, their son-in-law Tom Corporan, their grandson Wencel Edward Corporan and many other family members.
