Read More	Arlo Charles Harris,90,of Greeley died Saturday, Feb 26, at Hospice and Palliative Care of Northern Colorado inpatient unit, Greeley. Mr. Harris was hospitalized after suffering a heart attack and moved into the Hospice unit Feb. 24. He was born March 9, 1914, to Charles and Alice (Teager) Harris in LeGrand Township, Marshall County, Iowa. He grew up in the LeGrand area and graduated from LeGrand High School in 1932. In December 1936, he married Rita J. Herbert and they worked and farmed in Marshall County, Iowa. From 1944-73, they farmed in rural Tama County, Iowa. A few years before he sold the farm, Mr. Harris embarked upon a second career as an agricultural supplies salesperson for Farm Service Company of Tama County. He retired in 1979. In 1981, he and his wife moved to Greeley to be closer to their children. In October 2004, the couple moved from their home to Alterra Sterling House of Greeley. They celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary in December. Survivors are his wife, Rita Harris of Greeley; a daughter,Pat Drexel and husband Mike of Nelson, Neb.; a son, Bob Harris and wife JoEllen of Greeley; six grandchildren, Nichole Yount and husband Allen of St. Louis, Brad Harris and wife Tiffani of Westminster, Leah Townsend and husband Cory of Grand Island, Neb., Amy Carroll and husband Jerod of Thornton, Katie Robinson of Denver and Geoff Harris of Greeley; four great-grandchildren, Philip Hauck of St. Louis, Kasey and Kamden Townsend of Grand Island and Rachel Laine Harris of Westminster. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Harold (in infancy), Marion and Gerald Harris, and a great-grandson, Kalen Jon Townsend. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1965 14th Ave., Greeley. Friends may visit from 1-6 p.m. today at Stoddard Funeral Home in Greeley. Cremation.
