Funeral services were held Friday, May 14, with visitation at the Arcadia Mortuary, followed by a service of Resurrection at Christ Lutheran Church on Saturday, May 15. His Cremains will be interred at the family lot in Anita. Arlo L. Hansen was born Jan. 15, 1920, near Anita, the son of Hans L. and Anna K. Hansen. He was baptized at Bethany Lutheran Church near Kimballton. All of his schooling was at the Anita Public School where he graduated in 1939. He served in the U.S. Army over four years during World War II in the European Campaign. He was married May 16, 1948, to Lola May Fust at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Adair. They farmed near Adair and Casey until moving to Arizona in 1959. In Phoenix, Mr. Hansen worked at Suncrest Poultry Farms, Southwest Co-op and 19 years at Springaire Mattress before retiring in 1982. Mr. hansen was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Phoenix, serving as an usher for many years. he was active with his Parkinson's group, singing with their choir. His most recent trip was to Eden, Idaho, to attend his grandson's confirmation on Palm Sunday. He had visited his ancestors in Denmark on two occasions. Survivors include his wife Lola may of Phoenix, Ariz.; a son, Jon Del Hansen of Eden, Idaho; three daughters, Bonnie and Tena Hansen of Phoenix and Lisa Dossey of Beech Island, S.C.; one sister, Dorothy Jackel of Shenandoah; a sister-in-law, Grace Hansen of Adair; seven grandchildren; 15 foster children; nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Harvey Hansen.
