Hansen Hans Larsen Hansen, son of Peter and Dorothy Hansen, was born at Schellen, Denmark, on the 27th. day of May, 1877. he was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church of that place. At the age of 17 years, he came to the United States, locating in Shelby county, Iowa. On march 11, 1908, he was united in marriage to Miss Anna Hansen of Audubon. Hansen Hans Larsen Hansen, son of Peter and Dorothy Hansen, was born at Schellen, Denmark, on the 27th. day of May, 1877. he was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church of that place. At the age of 17 years, he came to the United States, locating in Shelby county, Iowa. On march 11, 1908, he was united in marriage to Miss Anna Hansen of Audubon. In 1915 they moved on a farm about one and one-half miles northeast of Anita. The union was blessed with nine children three dying in their infancy and one son, Leigo Peter, at the age of 9 years. Those remaining to mourn the departure are the widow and the children, Arnold, Harvey, Dorothy, Arlo and Gordon, all of Anita; also one brother and one sister living in Denmark. Mr. Hansen complained in march of this year of not feeling well. He was taken to Atlantic for observation and then to council bluffs where the physicians found that there was no hope for him. He was brought home where he spent the few remaining days of his life under the faithful care of his wife. he fell asleep on the afternoon of July 4th., at the age of 59 years, 1 month and 7 days. Funeral services were held at 2:00 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Immanuel Lutheran church in Adair, with the Rev. Theodore Hoemann officiating. Music for the service was furnished by the Misses Leona Huss, Thelma Krumm, Norine Siedeman, Doris and Grace Miller, with Mrs. Tipperman at the pipe organ. Internment was made in Evergreen cemetery in Anita with I. S. Anderson, W. R. Cryer, P. M. Nikkelsen, Claus Wilson, Wesley Johnson and J. R. Stuhr acting as pallbearers. --- Anita Tribune July 9, 1936
