Description	:	Arnie Leroy Peterson, 84, of Lincoln NE, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 20th, 2018 at Our Lady of Peace Hospice in St Paul, MN, with his daughter Kari at his side. He was born November 5th, 1933 to Irving and Ruth (Runneberg) Peterson. He graduated from Centerville High School in 1951. After high school, he enlisted in the US Navy. Read More	Arnie Leroy Peterson, 84, of Lincoln NE, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 20th, 2018 at Our Lady of Peace Hospice in St Paul, MN, with his daughter Kari at his side. He was born November 5th, 1933 to Irving and Ruth (Runneberg) Peterson. He graduated from Centerville High School in 1951. After high school, he enlisted in the US Navy. Upon returning to South Dakota, he attended the University of South Dakota. There he met his future wife Glennyce Austin. They married on September 8th, 1957, and after graduation they moved to Chicago, IL where he worked as an accountant for Coopers and Lybrand. In 1960 they moved to Dallas, TX where he went to work for Peat Marwick Mitchell. Son Bart was born in 1962 and daughter Kari in 1964. Shortly thereafter they moved back to South Dakota and settled in Vermillion where he went to work for United National Bank. In 1972, he went to work for Union Bank in Sioux Falls, and became active in bank ownership and trading. He relocated to Lincoln, NE and became the CFO for Royal American Trading Company in 1987. He and Glennyce then permanently settled in Lincoln where he was involved in various business ownerships including Natur’s Way Company, which he successfully built into a competitive global manufacturer and distributor of animal health products. Arnie stayed very active, and enjoyed yardwork and gardening, doing woodwork and spending time with family. He is survived by his children, Bart and Kari, grandchildren Brock, Erik and Dalton, great grandchildren Shelby, Kai and Elyse, sisters in-law Ellen Unzicker, Virginia Peterson, JoAnn Larson and Judy Peterson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Irving and Ruth, his step-mother Edith, his wife Glennyce, brothers Elwood, Donald and Leslie and sister Grace. [Courtesy: Kober Funeral Home]
