Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. Obituary: Arthur D. Brown Arthur D. Brown, the son of Elmer and Grace Dilie Brown was born at Aurora, Nebraska on April 22, 1911. His death occurred at Lincoln, Nebraska on February 8, 1980, following a long illness, at the age of 68 years, 9 months and 16 days. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. Obituary: Arthur D. Brown Arthur D. Brown, the son of Elmer and Grace Dilie Brown was born at Aurora, Nebraska on April 22, 1911. His death occurred at Lincoln, Nebraska on February 8, 1980, following a long illness, at the age of 68 years, 9 months and 16 days. He spent his childhood on his parents farm near Aurora and attended the Rural School District No. 64 and later attended Aurora High School for one and a half years. He was engaged in farming until March 20, 1942, when entered the United States Army, serving until his discharge on October 1, 1945. On January 29, 1971 he was united in marriage to Minnie Abbott at Lincoln. Art was employed at Gooch's Milling Company for 27 years, until his retirement 7 years ago. He was a member of the Federated Church in Aurora as a youth, and since residing in Lincoln he was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents. His survivors include his wife; 2 sons, Brian and Patrick Brown and one daughter Lore Brown, all of Santa Rosa California; one sister Mrs. Mabelle Krabiel of Aurora; 1 stepson, Lawrence Messick of Diamond Bar, California; 2 step-daughters Thressa Maypin of Mr. Vernon, Washington and Betty Britton of Lincoln; two other step-daughters, Susan Blocksom of Ladon, South Carolina and Deanna McGrail of Santa Rosa, California; 11 grandchildren and other relatives and many close friends, who will cherish his memory.
