Onken, 59, who died unexpectedly of a heart attack at his farm home three and one-half miles northwest of Lidderdale about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Short rites at 1:30 at the Huffman Funeral Home here will be followed by 2 o'clock services in Immanuel Lutheran Church at Lidderdale. The Rev. L.S. Winter of Auburn will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery at Lidderdale. Mr. Onken was stricken while driving a tractor and removing snow from the driveway of his farm home. He had had a heart condition for more than five years. Born March 10, 1899, he spent his life in the same neighborhood in the Lidderdale area. He was married to Viola Arneil Sept. 8, 1920, at the Lutheran parsonage in Lidderdale. Surviving with his wife are three sons and three daughters: Virgil Onken, Mrs. Jack (Virginia) Hembree, Mrs. Vern (Violet) Knute, Mrs. Kenneth (Virnette) Herrmann, Valjean Onken and Vernal Onken; three sisters, Mrs. Henry (Viola) Ewoldt, Mrs. Adolf (Dorothy) Wurr and Mrs. Chris (Edna) Wenck, and three brothers, Ed, Walter and Clifford Onken. Two sisters are deceased, Ethel in infancy and Mrs. Albert (Lillian) Akey. Mr. Onken was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. His parents preceded him in death.
