Rev. Benjamin Farrell of Irwin said the ceremony, he having performed a like service for the parents when they were married. No guests were present save the families of the wedded pair. A good dinner was served and a pleasant social time was had. the bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hopkins. The groom a son of Mr. and Mrs. E. V. Kohl, all of Lincoln Township. They are all well known and have many friends among their acquaintances. His head was crushed beneath the wheels of the heavy machine. The accident occurred near the Galen Barrett farm southeast of town. Mr. Kohl's wife, who was driving a car out to get her husband arrived a few moments after the accident and helped the hired man take the body to Harlan. The deceased was found guilty of driving while intoxicated by a jury last week following a trial. Mr. Kohl was to have appeared before Judge Earl Peters Monday to receive sentence. He is survived by his widow and five children besides his aged mother, two sisters and one brother. Funeral services were held at Harlan Tuesday afternoon. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ TENNANT MAN IS ACCIDENT VICTIM SAT. Fell From Silo Filler Saturday Evening; Dies Sunday Atman V. Kohl of Tennant, 45, died early Sunday from injuries sustained when he fell from a silo filler and was run over by the machine late Saturday evening. Kohl and a hired man were en-route home with a grinder and tractor half way between Corley and Tennant when the accident happened. The wheels of the heavy machine passed over Kohl's head. Atman Kohl, son of Ezra and Mary Kohl, was born on a farm in Lincoln township, April 19, 1891. His exact age at the time of his passing was 45 years and 5 months. He was united in marriage to Burma Fay Hopkins, Oct. 15, 1914, whose death occurred May 10, 1915. He enlisted in the army, Battery C, 49th C&C. He served in France from Oct. 5, 1918, until receiving his honorable discharge March 8, 1919. June 1, 1920, he was united in marriage to Anna M. Andersen. To this union, five children were born; Warren George, Pearl June, Louisa Anna, William Donald and Betty Jean. Besides his wife and children those surviving are his mother, Mrs. Mary Kohl; two sisters, Mrs. Essie Mastenbrook of Lebanon, Ore., Miss Josie Kohl of Harlan; one brother, Morris Kohl of Tennant. His father and +three brothers, William F., Edgar G.and Fred D., preceded him in death. Funeral services were held from the Methodist Church in Harlan, Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, with the Rev. P.J. Henderson of Tennant, officiating.
